Lab Tested & Certified
Ghee is one of the most adulterated foods in India. So we don't ask you to trust us — we send ours to an independent government-approved laboratory and publish the report, unedited.
What We Test For
What the Lab Actually Checked
Ghee is routinely cut with vanaspati, palm oil or cheaper animal fat — and once it is in the jar, you cannot tell by looking, smelling, or tasting. Labels can say anything.
So ours goes to Jagdamba Laboratories in Jaipur: a government-approved, ISO 9001:2015 and GLP-certified test house with no stake in what the results say. Here is what they checked, in plain language.
-
No vanaspati. No vegetable oil.
PassThe single most important line on the sheet. This test detects hydrogenated vegetable fat — the usual way cheap ghee is bulked up. A negative result means there is none of it in the jar.
NegativeFSSAI requirement: must be negative
-
Almost entirely milk fat
PassHow much of what you're paying for is genuine milk fat and nothing else. At 99.69%, there is barely any room left in the jar for something else to hide in.
99.69% milk fatFSSAI limit: minimum 99.50%
-
Practically no water
PassWater is the cheapest filler there is, and it shortens shelf life on the way. Ours came in at roughly half the maximum India allows.
0.28% moistureFSSAI limit: maximum 0.50%
-
Fresh, not rancid
PassFree fatty acids climb as fat ages or gets over-heated. A low reading means the ghee was made gently on a slow flame and reached the lab fresh.
1.73% free fatty acidsFSSAI limit: maximum 2.0%
-
Genuinely cow's ghee
PassFour separate chemical fingerprints confirm the fat really came from cow's milk. Buffalo fat, vegetable oil or a blended batch would land outside these ranges.

Nothing in it but ghee
VerifiedThe nutrition panel found no sugar, no added sugar, no carbohydrate and no sodium — just milk fat and the Vitamin A that naturally comes with it.
1137 IU Vitamin AZero sugar · zero carbohydrate · zero sodium, per 100 g

A Clean Report Starts Long Before the Lab
Those numbers aren't luck. They're what happens when nothing is rushed and nothing is added.
-
Freely Grazed Gir Cows
Indigenous Gir cows roam open pasture around Nathdwara and eat natural vegetation. No hormones, no antibiotics, no industrial feed.
-
The Bilona Method, By Hand
Milk is set into curd overnight and hand-churned with a wooden bilona. Never cream-separated, never rushed through a machine.
-
No Preservatives, Ever
Pure ghee keeps itself. Nothing is added to stretch shelf life, thicken the texture, or correct the colour.
-
Nothing Blended In
One ingredient in the jar. No palm oil, no vanaspati, no cheaper fat quietly stretched into the batch.
-
Small Batches, Traceable
Every batch is made by our Gwalas in Nathdwara — small enough that we know exactly where each jar came from.
-
Tested, Not Just Claimed
We publish the laboratory's report in full rather than printing a badge on the label. It's right above — read it yourself.
